What can I expect in my sessions with you?

Initial session


In the initial session, we will discuss your requirements, gather necessary history, I will explain hypnosis and answer any questions you may have. Once I have gathered all necessary information, we can then proceed with a short counselling session followed by hypnosis based on the information I have gathered.

The initial session is designed to allow me to get to know what your goals and requirements are and to give you an experience of hypnosis. This is always very relaxing for clients who have not previously experienced hypnosis before.

Subsequent sessions

In each subsequent session, we will have a short counselling session to see how you are progressing and I will answer any questions you may have. I will also find out what we will be working on within the session.

Once I have gathered all necessary information we will proceed with hypnosis. I will then bring you out of hypnosis, discuss the session and I will answer any questions you may have.

On occasion I will give you tasks (homework) to do. This is a very important part of your therapy process. Homework tasks are designed to assist you in achieving your desired outcomes in the shortest time possible.

How long does each session go for?

The initial session will go for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes in duration (this includes the 15 minute obligation free consultation if booked at the same time and no hypnosis will take place in the first 15 minutes). The session can then be terminated by either party after the first 15 minutes. Should the client wish to proceed beyond the first 15 minutes, the full fee is then payable for the first session.

The complimentary obligation free 15 minute consultation to discuss your requirements can be booked separately to the above. Please note: Hypnosis will not take place during this session.

Standard initial sessions are approximately 75 minutes in duration (this includes the initial 15 minute consultation if booked together). Otherwise, 60 minutes.

Subsequent sessions are approximately 55-60 minutes in duration.

Flying in from interstate or overseas?

If you are flying in for therapy or have decided to book in for therapy whilst you are visiting Sydney, packages tailored specifically to your needs are available (this is for therapy only).

How many sessions will I need?

This all depends on the person, the issue, how long the issue has been present and many other factors. Approximately 3 to 8 sessions or more, however, this can vary from person to person. Some issues may require as little as 1 or 2 sessions.

Do I need a referral?

In order to provide the best treatment possible, in 'special' circumstances only, I will request that you obtain a letter from your General Practitioner outlining your condition/issue.

How much will it cost?

All initial and subsequent sessions are charged at $225.

How do I make payment?

Cash, personal/bank cheques, EFTPOS, Mastercard and Visa. A receipt will be issued to you.

Is hypnotherapy covered by health funds?

Yes. Please check with your health fund provider first to see if you are covered and to ensure that you have not used up your 'allowance' for the year. Hypnotherapy is covered by approximately 15 health fund providers.

What are your hours?

Daytime, after hours and weekend appointments available.

What if I need to cancel?

If you need to cancel a session, please give at least 24 hours notice. If you cancel the session giving less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged the full fee which is payable before your next session.

What can I expect from my 15 minute obligation free consultation?

We will discuss your requirements and I will explain how I can be of assistance to you and answer any questions you may have.

Do you offer Skype sessions?

Skype sessions are available for existing clients that are traveling interstate or overseas. Please call or email for further information.

Do you offer telephone counselling?

Telephone counselling is available for clients that live in Regional NSW, interstate or overseas. Please call or email for further information.
