Meet Lucy Patarcic

I am a Sex Therapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist, Counsellor and Coach, practising in Bondi Junction and Sydney CBD. I have been in private practice for over 13 years with thousands of client hours under my belt.

I am passionate about helping people and find it extremely rewarding to see progress and positive changes evolve in people's lives. I use a client centred and solutions focused approach to therapy in a friendly, safe and confidential environment.

I have completed a Master of Health Science (Sexual Health) at the University of Sydney where I was trained in the psychological and medical areas of sexual health counselling. I have also completed a 2nd Masters Degree, being a Master of Science in Medicine (HIV, STIs and Sexual Health) in Public Health at the University of Sydney (Sydney Medical School). I have also studied at the Academy of Applied Hypnosis, completed training at the Australasian Institute of NLP and Dr L. Michael Hall (The Meta-Coach Training System® / The International Society of Neuro-Semantics). I am a Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and a Meta Coach. Most recently, I attended training with Jan Sky - ESI Mapping and Advanced Skills incorporating Neuropsychotherapy. Executive State Identification (ESI) can be best described as 'mapping the pathways of the brain in conjunction with neuropsychotherapy for a greater understanding of human behaviour'.

I enjoy working with a broad range of issues/concerns which may include health, life, sports, business and executive coaching and sexual health. I have an in-depth understanding of the complex nature of human sexuality and I am passionate about helping people with their sexual health concerns. Due to the delicate subject matter of my work, I will at times bring humour into sessions as I have found it to be a great icebreaker in assisting clients to feel more comfortable in discussing their concerns. My clients range from Sydneysiders to clients that fly in from interstate and overseas for therapy.

I am a Clinical Member of the Australian Hypnotherapists' Association (AHA) and am bound by the AHA's Code of Ethics. I am also a Master Practitioner Member of the Australian Board of Neuro Linguistic Programming (ABNLP) and am bound by their Code of Ethics.

Ongoing Professional Development is important to me. I attend workshops and seminars on a regular basis to keep up to date with the latest information.

On a personal level I love swimming, hiking, travelling, movies, music, comedy and reading - anything to do with the brain, sexology, science, history, biographies, Native American Wisdom and cell biology. I have also personally experienced physical illness from 1998-2005 and understand how challenging life can be. From this experience I understand first-hand that it is possible to rise above life's challenges with strength and determination. A single thought and decision combined with commitment and perseverance led me to achieve things I never thought possible. I am now living the healthy, happy, positive life that I have chosen to live and I love my work and in-turn helping others move forward in their lives.
